Getting Started in Chess Incremental

Chess Incremental drops you on a plaza with a living chessboard, giant upgrade screens, a winged white rook statue, and a prestige bar that already knows your name. You do not need openings. You need Chess. This first-hour route is the shortest path from a fresh account to a board that actually prints currency.

Minute zero

Open the live Roblox place, not the 3Face testing place. Favorite the experience and press Like. The description promises Rune Speed and Rune Luck for those two clicks. That bonus is free and permanent enough that skipping it is a real mistake. Details sit on group perks.

Then open the shopping basket and redeem every string on working codes. Tickets and potions now sit in your shop. Do not drink the potions yet. Do not buy a Robux potion row. Press Switch to Tickets only if you already know which pass you want; otherwise leave Tickets banked.

Read the top bar

The header shows Chess over a target — on a mid-session screenshot that was 1.37K / 100K Chess — plus Progress for Prestige 1, an ETA, and a percent. Prestige 1 is gated on 100K Chess. The ETA is a forecast, not a promise. ChessSpeed and Wins Multi change it. If the percent is 1.4% after a few minutes, you are on the intended launch curve, not broken.

Buy ChessSpeed

Walk to the left upgrade boards. The header text is Gain Chess for every move made by pieces. ChessSpeed is the early row: levels, a +/sec value, a Chess cost, BUY, and BUY MAX. A typical early cost sits near 1.87K Chess with a +10/sec line. Buy ChessSpeed before Wins Multi. Wins Multi is the crown icon next to it. Crowns are a second currency the board can print; they are not the prestige gate.

The upgrade guide and the upgrade tier list exist because players tap BUY MAX on the wrong board. Your first Chess should raise the rate at which later Chess arrives.

Let the board work

Stand near the tiles. Pieces move, capture, and check on their own. Floating CAPTURE and CHECK labels are the loop working. You can walk around chests and the Game Rewards board, but you do not have to click each capture. That is the whole joke of the design: chess as an idle engine.

Chests in the plaza are world pickups, not prestige skips. Grab them when you pass. Do not reroute your entire first hour around chest spawns.

HUD you will actually use

Bottom hotbar, left to right: shop basket, backpack, purple rune gem, crowned character, settings gear. Shop is codes and Ticket purchases. The gem is the rune layer. Settings is volume and account options. How to play names every panel including the right-side Game Rewards and Top boards.

What not to do in hour one

Do not prestige at 5K Chess because a YouTube title said instant reset. The live bar wants 100K. Do not spend all Tickets on a single potion type. Do not ignore Like/Favorite because you already redeemed Frog. Do not join a private server looking for shared production — progress is independent even though eight avatars share the plaza.

Hour-one checklist

• Codes from working codes are redeemed.
• Like and Favorite are on.
• ChessSpeed has at least a few levels.
• Potions are stored for a later rune session in runes and ranks.
• You know the 100K Chess prestige target from prestige.
• You bookmarked the prestige checklist.

When ChessSpeed costs more than you earn in a minute, that is the first real wall. Push the auto-board, grab chests, and only then look at Wins Multi. If a shutdown hits, read updates before you buy a pass that just changed.
